I have scoliosis, a condition causing curvature of the spine. I have been a chiropractic patient for about 17 years, and I am very happy to say it has generally attributed to a healthy lifestyle. When I came to Dr. Lowe in January, 2008, I was experiencing burning pain across my lower back. I knew I had problems in my hips, especially on the left side. I thought, due to the Scoliosis and Arthritis that I would just have to live with the pain. Dr. Lowe thought otherwise, thank goodness. He took x-rays of my spine and showed me the results. Two discs in my vertebrae were deteriorating and the vertebrae around the disc were closing down. If this continued I would be beyond Chiropractic Help and a certain candidate for surgery. I obviously did not want surgery. I readily agreed to eight-week procedure of decompression, regular adjustments and muscle strengthening exercises. It is said, “The proof is in the pudding.” Well I couldn’t have been served sweeter pudding. Follow up x-rays showed the discs were filling with moisture again and the vertebrae were opening.
