  1. Sit in an ergonomic chair while working. Your back will feel better and as a bonus your productivity will go way up. You may even occasionally stand throughout the day. Many of my patients see me standing while I type throughout the day. It helps to mix things up.
  2. Think about your posture when you’re eating, watching TV, sleeping, working and riding in your car. Work on it during those moments when it’s on the top of your mind.
  3. Buy some back supports and use them in your car and in the chairs you sit in the most at home. We have some handy in our lobby. Try one out next time you’re in.
  4. Get regular maintenance adjustments from your trusted Louisville ChiropractorAsk us today about setting up your own maintenance plan.

Bonus Tip:

Don’t carry a George Constanza sized wallet in your back pocket. This is a simple tip but one that many guys ignore to their detriment. Carry it in your front pocket when sitting. Enjoy the diversion!

Every time I get up from my routine maintenance adjustments, Doc Lowe says “ready for another 100 miles”. It usually passes right by me without much notice. I’m thinking about my next appointment, my next to do, or how to solve a problem I’m dealing with. But every once in a while this simple little phrase catches my attention. I dwell on it for a moment and I often wonder- why don’t more people come to the Chiropractor for normal routine adjustments.

Sure when we first came a couple years back it was because we had a red light in the instrument panel. For me it was my neck. It locked up on me and I couldn’t turn my head without turning my shoulders. I had a golf trip scheduled and paid for and needed a remedy. I’ve always been into natural health and wellness, so I didn’t need persuasion that Chiropractic was good for me. But still today I realize it’s no different than flossing my teeth, exercising, stretching or supplementing my diet. I don’t do those things once and forget about them. I realize that by doing them on a routine basis I focus on wellness and prevention, versus just reacting when something feels bad. Sure pain is a fine time to make your first appointment, no argument there. But why not make Chiropractic a part of your overall wellness routine after the pain goes away.

I want to always hear Doc say, “ready for another 100 miles”. Because I always feel like it when I leave.
