Chiropractic Louisville KY Exercises

At Lowe Chiropractic & Wellness, we look at pain as a nervous system problem first. When a joint is not moving the way it should, it puts pressure on the nerves that control the muscles around it — and that pressure is what causes the spasm, tightness, or radiating pain you feel in your back, leg, neck, or arm.

Getting lasting results takes three things working together: adjustments paired with modalities like spinal decompression, shockwave, and cold laser to take pressure off the nerve; breaking the daily habits that keep putting that pressure back; and corrective exercises that help hold the adjustment in place between visits.

This page is that third piece. Every video below was filmed by Dr. Lowe or Dr. Bentley, organized by condition, to help you hold your adjustment between visits — or to try before you come in for an exam.

Low Back Pain

Low back pain is often nerve pressure in the lumbar spine causing the surrounding muscles to spasm and guard. These corrective exercises from Dr. Bentley and Dr. Lowe help hold your adjustment in place and build the strength that keeps that pressure from coming back.

Sciatica

Sciatica happens when a nerve in the low back is irritated — whether by a disc or a tight muscle like the piriformis — and that irritation radiates as pain, numbness, or tingling down the leg. These corrective exercises from Dr. Lowe help take pressure off that nerve between visits.

Neck Pain

Neck pain is frequently nerve interference in the cervical spine, made worse by tight muscles across the chest and upper back pulling the neck forward. This "Floor Angels" stretch from Dr. Lowe helps open that area and hold your adjustment in place.

Posture / Mobility

Poor posture keeps pressure on the nerves and joints in your mid-back and shoulders, especially after a long day at a desk. These corrective exercises from Dr. Bentley help reverse that pattern and hold your adjustment between visits.

Neuropathy

Numbness, tingling, and wrist pain are often signs of nerve pressure from repetitive movement or misalignment further up the arm. These corrective exercises help relieve that pressure and reinforce what your adjustment corrects.

Shoulder Pain

Shoulder pain, whether from a rotator cuff injury or frozen shoulder, often involves nerve irritation and muscle guarding around the joint. Dr. Lowe explains what helps hold your treatment in place between visits.

Headaches / Migraines

Tension headaches are frequently linked to nerve pressure building in the neck and upper spine. Dr. Lowe shares a corrective stretch to help relieve that pressure between visits.

Knee Pain

Knee pain often traces back to how the joints above and below it — the hip and ankle — are moving and aligned, not just the knee itself. Hear how Dr. Lowe helped one patient get back to training after a meniscus and LCL injury.
