Our “to do” lists grow by adding shopping, cooking, cleaning and more events to our schedules. It is easy to get out of our healthy routines. To reduce your stress, keep your chiropractic appointments, maintain your exercise routine and get to bed a little earlier.
  2. Remember your eating habits. Food is a central focus for many of our celebrations and even our relationships. The holidays bring cookies, candies, cakes and all kinds of sweets. It is no wonder that many people gain 5-10 pounds over the holiday season. Sugar increases the production of the stress hormone, cortisol. Remember DESSERTS spelled backwards is STRESSED!
  3. The reason for the season is to reflect, celebrate and relate. Reflect on Christmas past, celebrate the season and build/strengthen relationships by spending time with one another. Gifts and food are secondary to the one resource that is in short supply… Time.
